The Intelligent Teaching Toolkit for Yoga Teachers

Teach yoga with clarity, confidence, and purpose, even when your students don’t match the textbook.
A 60-hour CPD for yoga teachers ready to go deeper than their 200-hour training.

INTRODUCTION

You’ve finished your yoga training. You’ve led classes.
But what happens when someone walks in with back pain? Or fatigue? Or anxiety?

You tweak things. You rely on instinct. You do your best.

But deep down, you know:
There has to be more to this than memorised sequences and lists of muscles.

This course is for teachers who want to understand how and why practice works, so they can meet each student, and each situation, with intention.

WHAT THIS TRAINING OFFERS

Real teaching tools. Real feedback. Real growth.

This course gives you the structure, mentoring, and practice you need to:

  • Plan with intention – Learn how to build adaptable, breath-led sequences using a clear planning process rooted in the Viniyoga approach.

  • Teach individuals in group settings – Go beyond “all-levels” cues and learn how to teach in a way that actually meets different needs and abilities.

  • Apply the Yoga Sūtras to modern teaching – Understand how ancient principles like vinyāsa krama, pratikriyā, and bhāvana translate into real choices on the mat.

  • Make better decisions, not just better shapes – Learn to assess, adapt, and communicate why you’re doing what you’re doing, without relying on scripts or styles.

  • Receive guidance as you integrate – You’ll get mentoring, teaching tasks, and feedback throughout, so you’re not just absorbing information, you’re applying it.

WHAT IS THE VINIYOGA APPROACH?

“Viniyoga” means special application — a way of practicing that adapts the tools of yoga to the person, not the other way around.

This approach comes from the teaching of T Krishnamacharya (often referred to as the "Father of Modern Yoga") and his son, TKV Desikachar, who believed yoga should be personalised, breath-centered, and guided by purpose, not performance.

You won’t be taught a fixed style.
You’ll learn how to make your teaching more intelligent, responsive, and effective, whatever your background.

IS THIS FOR YOU?

You don’t need to be advanced. But you do need to be curious.

This course is for yoga teachers who:

  • Want to understand the principles behind good planning, not just follow scripts

  • Work with older, less mobile, or more complex students, and want to do so with confidence

  • Feel like their 200-hour gave them pieces, but not the whole picture

  • Are starting to sense that yoga is more than physical alignment but don’t know where to go next

  • Want to study with someone who’s been doing this for years, with no fluff, no fuss, and no Instagram choreography

WHAT YOU’LL WALK AWAY WITH

  • A repeatable framework for planning safe, adaptable yoga practices

  • A deeper understanding of how to use breath, structure, and intention

  • More confidence in 1:1 sessions, small groups, or students with specific needs

  • A way to finally bring yoga philosophy into your actual teaching, not just your quote book

  • Personal mentoring and real feedback from a long-time Viniyoga approach teacher
