Gentle Chair Yoga for Fatigue, Mobility & Recovery

A 4 Week Chair-Based (or Lying) Yoga Course for Comfort, Breath & Relaxation

This course is designed for people living with health conditions, fatigue, or mobility challenges who find a standard yoga class too much.

Over 4 weeks, you’ll experience gentle, chair-based (or lying-down) practices that combine small, purposeful movements with guided breathing and deep relaxation. The aim is not to push or build fitness, but to help you find comfort, ease, and steadiness in everyday life.

Is this course for you?

This course is a good fit if you:

  • Are living with a health condition that limits your energy or mobility

  • Are recovering from illness or an event such as stroke and need a slower, safer entry point

  • Experience fatigue that makes longer or more demanding practices difficult

  • Want to explore yoga in a way that feels supportive, adaptable, and accessible

You don’t need any yoga experience. Every session is designed so you can participate fully whether you are in a chair or lying down, and rest is always part of the practice.

What you’ll experience

  • Gentle, accessible movements to support comfort and reduce stiffness

  • Breathing practices to calm the nervous system and ease fatigue

  • Guided relaxation to release tension and aid recovery

  • A small, supportive group setting where you can take things at your own pace

Which course is right for me?

  • Move Smarter is for people who are ready to build strength and confidence, and who can manage a full mat-based class with adaptations.

  • Gentle Chair Yoga for Fatigue, Mobility & Recovery is for people earlier in recovery or living with more limiting conditions, who need a slower pace and practices that can be done in a chair or lying down.

Why a 4-week course?

A short course allows you to build gradually, with enough consistency to feel the benefits, without committing to something open-ended. You’ll also have the reassurance of practising alongside the same small group each week.
